I'm gonna finish my last post.
Adam, Aiden and I went to Christmas Eve Mass at 4pm. We got there at 3:30 and there were no seats! Luckily my friend is an usher (Kathy) and she whispered there were a few seats in the Chapel, so we better hurry if we didn't have a seat saved in the Main Sanctuary. Luckily we found the perfect seat for us with Aiden in the Chapel. He yell'd out Elmo a couple of times and pointed up. I told Adam I know there are angels in our church just hanging close to the ceiling and especially I feel it even more in the Chapel.

When we went to Communion, I had to get out of line with Aiden, because he screamed! He wanted more Holy Water. I only let him do it a couple of times, but he wanted More!!! He only puts it on his forehead for now --- but that's a start! We then came back after the line started to move.

By far this has been THE BEST CHRISTMAS we have ever had. It's because of Aiden. We have been married for 13 yrs and it will be 17yrs this January 28th we have been together. What a blessing. Last year was great because it was our first Christmas together as a family, but this year it was awesome to see our Lil Angel get excited over Christmas lights, over the Christmas tree, opening presents, buying him a new sweater for Christmas Eve Mass, it was the best. Adam and my heart was always empty and now it is full of warm feelings. Warm feelings and warm memories we are building.

I always wanted noticed how parents knew how to make their kids smile and their eyes light up and we did it this year!!! His toddler basketball goal by Tikes and his Brown Bear, Brown Bear book was satisfaction enough. He screamed when he saw the goal and wouldn't put down his book. Mission accomplished and what a wonderful feeling we had as parents. Love you babas, Merry Christmas....
Well, Christmas 2011 has come and gone. It was so nice. We really got to see Aiden enjoy opening presents. He understood, "Hey, there is something in there and I'm gonna like it!" Monica and Adam's mom came over Christmas eve with Elijah. It was just us. Adam, Aiden and I went to Mass at 4:00pm. We got there at 3:30 and we barely got a seat. Luckily my friend is an usher and she whispered to me, there were a few seats in the Chapel, so we better go if we didn't have a seat saved. Luckily we got the perfect seat for us with Aiden. Aiden was so good during Mass. He ye'll Elmo and pointed up a few times. I've always told Adam, I know angels are hanging up close to the ceiling at St Joseph's, and I feel it even more in the Chapel. :)

When we went to Communion, Aiden thru a fit. I let him get Holy Water and put on himself. He only gets to his forhead and that's it for now....... but when I let him only do it a couple of times, he screamed!!!! We had to get out of line and then get back in when the line started to move. :)

Aiden's big present was a toddler basketball goal by Tikes. He got excited when he opened it, so that was my "

Mommie and meant it!

Tonight Aiden called me mommy, like he really meant it. He kept saying Mommie, mommie mommie, mommie. I was trying to watch X Factor and he could see me from his High Chair. I know he wanted my attention, and this was he way to get it. :) mommie, mommie, over and over. It sounded so cute. I loved it. Adam just smiled. I didn't watch X-factor, I just kept turning my head and would say "What?" or "Yes?" everytime he called Mommy!
Yay!

Day off

I'm off tomorrow. I had 4 days I needed to use or lose before January 7th. So tomorrow is one of them. I was reluctant to take off a Tuesday, but now it seems kind of neat. I only went to work one day - a Monday, one day we all usually dread. Then I'm off, yea! I need to get my ass to bed, but here I am eating Santitas chips and on the computer. Oh well.

I have an 8:30 am appt for a field vision test, then 11:15 facial (have a gift card from my birthday August 2010) and a haircut and color at 1:45. Wow, I'm so looking forward to tomorrow.

Aiden had a good day. No time outs -- Yea! He was in a good mood when I got home and didn't scream too much. :)

Not too much screaming -- this was a good night.

Funny thing or new thing Aiden did today? Was pointing for me to give him something. I kept picking up different things and was not getting him what he wanted. He kept saying, I think "no - no". I don't think I ever found what he wanted. I think he changed his mind and just picked the last think I had to choose from. LOL... love my punkin.

FMP (For the Most Part)

Last night we had a date night. We hadn't had a date night since our Anniversary October 3rd. The last time after that we had dinner out alone was October 27th. It was more like a late lunch. I know there are alot of parents out there, that may not ever get a date night and I feel for them. But Adam and I really look forward to this. We breathe and relax during dinner. :)

We went to eat with my niece and her boyfriend and then went to a country club afterwards. We had such a good time. We didn't home until 1:45!!... my initial plan was be home by Midnight..... well, that didn't happen. I was really thinking A would sleep until 7am and REALLY hoping it would be 7:30am, well, we heard him talking at 6am!!!! 4 hrs of sleep!! man, were we tired today. My sis in law kept the boys, A and E. She had to be at work at 7am , so we kept E. He's no trouble at all, since he's 4yrs old potty trained and is old enough to communicate.

Today we tried to be as consistant as possible about correcting A. Correcting him on his hitting, biting and screaming. Luckily during dinner and after, he was so calm. What a relief. We both played with his big connecting blocks on the floor and read a couple of books. Adam took pictures with the camera M got from her step dad. It's really nice. Hopefully we can take a picture to put in with our Christmas cards!! Adam is also going to make prints of pictures so we can mail to Jackie at our Agency for Birthmom.

Had a really good time playing with A today. Sleepy, but for the most part (FMP), it was a good day!

A few things that come to my mind that I have not posted about and want to document.

1. A is using more signs now.
2. He says Preeeeeeeez (Please) and does the sign.
3. We finally learned the sign for "All done" after he eats. This makes it easier now to understand him.
4. When I sing Jingle Bells, he says "hey!" Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way (Hey!) He sounds so cute.
6. Goes thru all the animals and things he knows for signing and wants us to say what it is. Bird, Duck, Hat, Bear, Dog.
7. Imitates how Clifford drinks water.
8. Imitates a sneeze. Ahhhhh choo!
9. Says Choo - Chooooooo when he hears our train down the road.
10. Sometimes walks on tip toes, just like I did when I was little and is rough when he's playing, throwing things. Just like me. This little boy is MINE!!!

Easy Times

A friend gave me the suggestion of keeping a journal to remember these days of Aiden being little. Because I know eventually he's not gonna want to always be snuggly with me or play with me. He's gonna grow up and he'll be too big to want to do all these things. But I hope in my heart and his, he will still want that sometimes! :)

He's now starting to talk, but of course we have no idea what he's saying. I just act like I do, and if I have a hint of what he saying, I just repeat it.

Today he helped Adam and myself clean. He was so proud of helping. He'd look around and walk around as if he was saying "What else?"

This week I told myself --- even though my life is busy with work, Aiden, Adam, dinner, my house, family and friends and myself...... I have to say these are the easy times. Once Aiden gets bigger, it will get busier. So, until then,,,,,,, just know these times when Aiden is little it's fun watching him grow and experience new things. Everything is new to him and to us.
